The Coachella lineup is finally here. Although it’s hard to beat last year’s Beychella, 2019 is looking like a worthy contender. It seems the festival is getting serious. Aside from breaking streaming records last year, Coachella 2018 was historic because Beyoncé was the first Black woman to headline for them. This year marks a lot of firsts too.
Alongside Childish Gambino and Tame Impala, Ariana Grande will be headlining this year, making her the youngest solo female act ever to do so at 24 years old. Another historic performance will be from BLACKPINK, the first all-female K-pop group to be included in the festival’s lineup. They will be playing alongside other fierce female performers like Janelle Monáe, Solange, Ella Mai, H.E.R, and Billie Eilish.
